Peer Review Process
Authors must submit their manuscripts through the online submission system to be considered for publication in Inscitech Education, a journal published by Literasi Cendekia. To maintain the quality and relevance of each article, all manuscripts will undergo a preliminary editorial screening.
Due to the high volume of submissions, starting from May 2025, Inscitech Education implements a pre-submission process. Only manuscripts that pass this initial evaluation will proceed to the formal peer review stage. Authors must send their manuscripts for pre-submission to: iste@inscitech.org. Manuscripts that do not meet the scope, novelty, and basic quality requirements will not be processed further. After passing the pre-submission phase, each manuscript goes through a double-blind peer-review process. This means that both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to ensure objectivity and fairness in the evaluation. We only publish articles that have been reviewed and recommended by qualified reviewers who have expertise in relevant fields.
The editorial team will decide on the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts based on reviewers’ recommendations. The initial screening, conducted by the editorial board, focuses on the manuscript’s scope, academic quality, and originality. If deemed suitable, the manuscript is sent to at least three reviewers, which may include one internal reviewer (from Literasi Cendekia) and two external reviewers from other institutions. There is no direct communication between authors and reviewers during the review process. Additionally, authors cannot appeal or negotiate a rejection decision with the editorial team. Authors will be notified about the editorial decision based on reviewers’ comments, which can result in the following outcomes:
- Accept without changes – the paper is ready for publication as is.
- Accept with minor revisions – the paper requires small corrections before publication.
- Accept after major revisions – the paper will be accepted if the authors make substantial changes.
- Revise and resubmit – the paper is not accepted in its current form, but may be reconsidered after major revisions.
- Reject – the paper is not suitable for publication and will not be reconsidered.
The peer review process typically involves the following steps:
- Manuscript Submission (by author)
- Initial Check and Editorial Screening (by managing editor and editorial team, including plagiarism check using Turnitin)
- Peer Review Process (by assigned reviewers)
- Editorial Decision Notification (to author based on reviewers’ feedback)
- Manuscript Revision (by author)
- Resubmission of Revised Manuscript (by author)
- Final Review and Acceptance Notification (if revisions are satisfactory)
- Galley Proof and Publication
Each manuscript goes through at least two rounds of review before a final decision is made. The journal editor or editorial board will carefully consider all peer review feedback before making the final publication decision.
